Hanbury's is one of the best fish and chip places in the UK, It has won many awards. It is quite accessible with ramps and an accessible toilet. The aisle between tables is a little narrow though.

We visited Hanbury's after I found a leaflet in the caravan parks reception. I was impressed with the amount of awards they had won and so we gave them a try. We were greeted by a friendly waiting who showed us to a table. There is a ramp in the entrance for wheelchair users and the accessible toilet is in the entrance hall way. Inside the restaurant it has 'mood' lighting and I can imagine when it is dark outside it is dark inside too. The restaurant is very olde worlde and cosy so it could be difficult to manuover in a wheelchair, but at the end of the restaurant there was a wider section of tables. The food was lovely and not too expensive. It was well worth the trip to Babbacombe and worthy of the awards that it has recieved! |
